M & D Automotive Parts & Repair in Bicknell Utah was chosen as Wayne's 2010 Business of The Year. They were honored at a dinner hosted by Six County Association of Governments in Sanpete County on December 1, 2010. Congratulations M&D Auto!

WHY RECIPIENT WAS CHOSEN:

M & D Auto was selected because of their continued business for 33 years.
They have proven their great business sense by doing business in a community that has seen its fair share of economic ups and downs. 

They have expanded over the years and have continued to be successful not only in being a loyal business, but they have given great opportunities to those seeking employment in the automotive repair trade.

BACKGROUND OF RECIPIENT:

Michael graduated Wayne High School and continued his education at the Trade Tech in Richfield, now known as Snow College South in the Automotive Repair Trade. He then moved to Ogden and worked there for a couple of years until he got tired of living in the city and decided that he would return home to Wayne County.
At this same time Dennis was working for the US Forest Service and didn’t really want to continue on there, so Michael and Dennis decided to start a business together and that’s how M & D Automotive Parts and Repair was established in 1977. They chose to build it in Bicknell, because it is the central location for the east-end of Wayne County.
